NeoGraft vs. Others

The Follicular Unit Extraction, or FUE method, is the newest, innovative technology for hair restoration. Patients are no longer required to endure an invasive procedure to regain hair thickness or a shapely hairline.  NeoGraft Orange County offers NeoGraft, a minimally invasive hair transplant technique that is redefining the field of hair restoration and the quality of life for hair loss patients nationwide. NeoGraft Orange County can provide significant hair replacement without any of the disadvantages of previous techniques thanks to the advanced NeoGraft technology and automated FUE hair restoration method.

How is the FUE method of hair restoration different from the strip method?

NeoGraft’s FUE method is a minimally invasive procedure that actually removes hair follicles individually instead of in an entire strip of scalp. The donor follicles are removed from a more full section of hair using a 1mm punch. This punch makes a tiny circular incision surrounding each individual hair follicle, and the follicles are removed using pneumatic pressure, or suction. Once the desired number of hair follicles are removed, these donor hair grafts are then implanted in much the same method as the Follicular Unit Extraction, using reverse pneumatic pressure. As hair follicles are implanted in the treatment section of scalp, the exact position of each hair follicle can be controlled. The follicles are initially removed individually, so they may be implanted individually with the 1mm punch, resulting in a more precise and natural hairline. This innovative hair transplant technology is superior to the traditional “strip method” of hair restoration because it provides patients with:

  • A hair restoration procedure that does not require IV sedation
  • A less invasive technique to extract hair follicles
  • No incisions, sutures, or linear scarring
  • Little bleeding and fewer complications during surgery
  • More precision during surgery which results in a more natural-looking hairline
